Guy just dropped bomb after bomb every turn and I could not keep up with answers or find any flyers to block. The game after I died to a basic Tiamat Dragon precon deck. Next game I died to an army of Elf tokens with a Craterhoof drop on top. First game I died on the 5th of turn to a Winota aggro deck before on the turn I played Gavi for the 1st time. I am looking for consistency and deck optimization.įor example, the last games I played looked like this. However from all the games I played and there were many, this happened maybe twice or three times only. Once the deck really keeps going, it shines and it is a joy to play and I absolutely love it. Or many instances where I just don't have anything to cycle and find the cards I need ( dead hand with no cycling cards or draw engine ). There are many many games, where I just don't have anything to play and defend myself until I am at least half way down with my life pool which is game over at that point. However even with some upgrades, I always feel like I am the weakest player at the table even against basic pre-con decks and that no matter what my opponents play, everything is a threat I should worry about. Nothing competitive, we just want to have fun.įrom all the decks I own and played, Timeless Wisdom is the only one I really always keep coming back to as I enjoy the mechanics very much. We are very casual and we bought many precons, but later on we started to upgrade our decks slightly. But due to lack of time, this is only once in a few week. It's been more than a year since we discovered the Commander format with my friends and since then we can't get enough and every time we have the opportunity to meet and play, we do.

Not that it's certainly your issue, but I'd look at replacing both splitters with known-good "designed for MoCA 2.x" splitters*. If you’ll be supplanting the G1100’s built-in MoCA LAN bridge with a standalone adapter, you’ll need to disable the MoCA LAN bridge via the G1100’s configuration UI or disconnect the G1100 from the coax, though the latter can only be done if the G1100’s WAN link with the ONT is over Cat*/Ethernet. here’s a listing of available MoCA adapters: Thanks so much for making this clear! I went ahead and ordered 2 of the MOCA 2.0 bonded adapters to increase the throughput.įYI. either matching the bonded MoCA 2.0 spec of the MM1000 (800-1000 Mbps) or bumping both adapters up to MoCA 2.5 (up to 2000-2500 Mbps shared). If greater throughput is required, you’d want to supplant the G1100’s built-in MoCA bridge with a separate, standalone MoCA adapter at the G1100. Theoretically, yes, but some due diligence would be required to verify that the coax outlets interconnect.Īssuming connectivity, the G1100 sports a standard MoCA 2.0 LAN bridge, so could achieve up to 400-500 Mbps throughput with a bonded MoCA 2.0 Motorola MM1000 adapter. And though the BAMF product description may make the claim, it also says it's optimized for satellite - and it can't be both. Neither of these splitters are optimized for MoCA. I did look at the redit link but i got confused lol. Internet speeds via wired lan are between 800-950 mbps. but i disconnected it i seemed to be getting ip conflicts.Īll the devices in the junction run to different rooms but only are connected to 2 STB one off the splitter and one homerun connecton all other coax is open ended. Yes the switch is coming off of one of the routers lan ports. Yes a set STB is hanging off that splitter. Not sure how you would do that but if it needed to be done i have more then enough cat6 to do itĮverything is that picture is in the same room except the ont and junction box. Then the coax on the splitter is coming from the junction box then being split off to the router and tv. fiber into the house / coax in the junction box and back in. it seems the ont is feeding the cable junction box outside. The splitter "optimization" is secondary to the diagram posted, which I can use some help understanding:Ĭlick to expand.thank you so much for taking the time to help me. The diagram would benefit by providing more detail on the central junction, as well as how the pictured components connect to the central junction and illustrating device co-location. Is this switch connected to the router's LAN? (It would need to be.) (MoCA adapters use a diplexer, internally, to redirect the frequencies where needed, rather than using a simple splitter, so the "IN/OUT" port on the Translite is designed to pass frequencies up to 1002 MHz.)Ģ) The diagram indicates that the MoCA adapter is connected to a switch. ! Critically, if the router's WAN connection is via MoCA or a FiOS set-top box is hanging off that 2-way splitter, they MUST NOT be connected via the MoCA adapter's pass-through port, as the "IN/OUT" pass-through port severely attenuates signals at MoCA frequencies. ? Are the devices pictured in the same room/location? ? Are you also subscribed to FiOS TV service? ? Can the router be connected via Ethernet to the ONT? ? What is your ONT's WAN connection type, Ethernet WAN or MoCA WAN? ? What is the brand/model # of the router? And that you have a TV connected downstream of the MoCA adapter, as well. 1) The diagram appears to show the router ONLY connected via coax, via the MoCA adapter's pass-through port. How long does it take Julie to reach terminal velocity in this case?.Answer these questions based on this velocity: Her terminal velocity in this position is 220 ft/sec. On Julie’s second jump of the day, she decides she wants to fall a little faster and orients herself in the “head down” position. Find the total time Julie spends in the air, from the time she leaves the airplane until the time her feet touch the ground. After her canopy is fully open, her speed is reduced to 16 ft/sec. It takes 5 sec for her parachute to open completely and for her to slow down, during which time she falls another 400 ft. If Julie pulls her ripcord at an altitude of 3000 ft, how long does she spend in a free fall?.Based on your answer to question 1, set up an expression involving one or more integrals that represents the distance Julie falls after 30 sec.How long after she exits the aircraft does Julie reach terminal velocity?.Using this information, answer the following questions. On her first jump of the day, Julie orients herself in the slower “belly down” position (terminal velocity is 176 ft/sec). After she reaches terminal velocity, her speed remains constant until she pulls her ripcord and slows down to land. She continues to accelerate according to this velocity function until she reaches terminal velocity. After she exits the aircraft, she immediately starts falling at a velocity given by v(t)=32t. Julie executes her jumps from an altitude of 12,500 ft. Since Julie will be moving (falling) in a downward direction, we assume the downward direction is positive to simplify our calculations. If, instead, she orients her body with her head straight down, she falls faster, reaching a terminal velocity of 150 mph (220 ft/sec). If she arches her back and points her belly toward the ground, she reaches a terminal velocity of approximately 120 mph (176 ft/sec). She has more than 300 jumps under her belt and has mastered the art of making adjustments to her body position in the air to control how fast she falls. The mission comprised of dropping a rigging alternate method zodiac out the back of the aircraft over the Gulf of Aden at 1,500 feet followed by a three man static jump and a three man high altitude low opening jump. Air Force para-rescue men from the 82nd Search and Rescue Squadron out of Moody Air Force Base, Ga., conduct a training jump from an HC-130 aircraft over Djibouti March 13, 2008. Student Project A Parachutist in Free Fall Figure 6.15 U.S. If f(x) is continuous over an interval \left, and the function F(x) is defined by Its very name indicates how central this theorem is to the entire development of calculus. This relationship was discovered and explored by both Sir Isaac Newton and Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz (among others) during the late 1600s and early 1700s, and it is codified in what we now call the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus, which has two parts that we examine in this section. These new techniques rely on the relationship between differentiation and integration. In this section we look at some more powerful and useful techniques for evaluating definite integrals. Unfortunately, so far, the only tools we have available to calculate the value of a definite integral are geometric area formulas and limits of Riemann sums, and both approaches are extremely cumbersome. In the previous two sections, we looked at the definite integral and its relationship to the area under the curve of a function.

McGaugh's research and proposed a story on the subject to Lesley Stahl, a correspondent on the show. Shortly afterward, Henner explains, a producer at 60 Minutes heard about Dr. McGaugh and his colleagues published "A Case of Unusual Autobiographical Remembering" in the neuropsychology journal Neurocase in February 2006. After six years of working with Price, Dr. "Whenever I see a date flash on the television (or anywhere else for that matter), I automatically go back to that day and remember where I was, what I was doing, what day it fell on, and on and on and on and on," she wrote in the email. McGaugh's name on the internet and emailed him in June 2000, describing her ability. The first person to be identified with HSAM was Jill Price, who found Dr. Courtesy Marilu Henner (3) A Rare Condition When you're one of six kids, you're always looking for something that makes you different from your brothers and sisters." Henner is still close with her five siblings, photographed here enjoying a meal together. "If someone wanted to know when something happened, it was always, 'Ask Marilu.' Everybody in my family is extremely smart and everybody has great memories, but I knew something was very unusual about mine. "They'd call me Little Miss Memory, the Memory Kid, or UNIVAC. "Even when I was 5 years old, people would say to my parents, 'What's with that kid and her memory? She remembers the last time I was here and everything that happened,'" Henner says. Marilu Henner (center) with the cast of Taxi in 1982. The condition, which allows people to recall the events of most of the days of their lives with remarkable detail and accuracy, was first described in 2006 by James McGaugh, PhD, founding chair of the department of neurobiology and behavior and founding director of the Center for the Neurobiology of Learning and Memory at the University of California-Irvine. Henner can recall past events in almost photographic detail thanks to a highly superior autobiographical memory (HSAM), a rare condition that has been identified in only about 100 people in the world. LISTEN NOW: Marilu Henner shares how her ability to recall every memory throughout her life has taught her valuable lessons and has propelled her to advocate for brain research on the Brain & Life podcast.īut that's not the case for Henner, who may be best known for playing Elaine Nardo on the 1978-83 sitcom Taxi and has appeared in numerous TV series since-most recently as Paula, the politically incorrect mother of Dave (Max Greenfield), on CBS' The Neighborhood. Memories of our lives are typically like impressionist paintings, forming an overall picture from a distance but blurry when we try to zoom in and look at specifics. It's just there."įor most people, such vivid memories are usually associated with major life events-your wedding day or the day your child was born-or traumatic moments like where you were when you heard about the attacks on the World Trade Center. It's like remembering your address or phone number or the color of your eyes. "The weather was beautiful that night, but it poured rain the next day, and all the plumbing in our resort went out. "I drank tequila for the first time, and then never again for 25 years!" she says with a laugh. She remembers wearing a cream-colored jumpsuit with harem pants and a stretchy strapless top with a turquoise jacket. "I was in Cancun, Mexico, with my boyfriend at the time, who was soon to be my first husband." Marilu Henner knew she had an extraordinary memory by the time she was 5. "It was a Wednesday," she says without hesitation. Give Marilu Henner a random date in the past and she can recall it with amazing clarity. This trait drives her to advocate for more funding for brain research. Thomas RyanĪMD’s even released a powerful yet easy-to-use overclocking tool to help you lift those loftier performance heights. But if you’re open to it, overclocking Ryzen can give you a free and potentially huge boost in performance. And not everybody’s comfortable tweaking their hardware-especially because it voids your hardware’s warranty. You’d need a beefy CPU cooler to achieve the best overclocks, along with an X370, B350, or X300 motherboard. PCWorld’s in-house testing saw similar results. Overclocking the Ryto those levels allows the chip to meet or beat the 1800X’s performance for $170 less, as PC Perspective’s testing shows at 4GHz (though it also boosts the chip’s power usage far, far higher). Now for the good news: Ryzen processors tend to have no problem overclocking to between 3.8GHz and 4GHz. Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 3 chips hover in a similar clock range, since they’re built using cut-down versions of the same CPU core clusters that power AMD’s most expensive chips. The flagship 1800X’s base clock is 3.6GHz and it can boost to 4GHz, while the 1700 runs from 3GHz to 3.7GHz. The primary difference between the $500 Ryzen 7 1800X, $400 Ryzen 7 1700X, and $330 Ryare their clock speeds. Slapping a beefy third-party CPU cooler or a closed-loop water cooler like the EKWB Predator 240 shown here can help you crank Ryzen’s clock speeds. In AGESA 1.0.0.6’s wake, AMD published detailed test results to show just how much of a difference highly tuned memory timing and overclocks can make in some scenarios, as you can see in the graph above. Most key? You can push RAM all the way to 4000MHz ( whoa) without changing the system’s reference clock now, and do so in 133MT/s intervals, enabling a far wider range of overclocked speeds. The BIOS updates it enabled feature dozens of new memory performance options and improvements. Ryzen suffered from severe issues with memory overclocking in its early days, but the “AMD Generic Encapsulated System Architecture” (AGESA) 1.0.0.6 update that started rolling out in May cured the biggest memory headaches for AM4 motherboards. It’s best if you stick to memory kits officially supported by your motherboard, though. If your motherboard doesn’t include preconfigured profiles and settings for your chosen memory kit, you should be able to manually overclock your RAM-or at least set it to the CAS timings and voltages it’s designed to run at-in the system BIOS. Just be sure to back up your existing UEFI BIOS to a flash drive before you take the plunge to stay safe.Įnabling higher memory speeds directly improves Ryzen’s performance in some games and applications, as this fine Legit Reviews article shows. You definitely want to stay up to date during these early days for Ryzen. Revisions released during the initial months have greatly increased speed, stability, and available features for AMD systems. Ryzen’s AM4 platform is still so new that BIOS updates are coming fast and furious from motherboard makers. IDGīIOS updates are coming fast and furious for Ryzen’s AM4 motherboards. Usually, we advise most PC users to ignore motherboard BIOS updates unless they need to add a specific new feature, due to the small, but real possibility of bricking your hardware. We aren’t going to delve deeply into all of that here, but check out PCWorld’s guide to Ryzen’s AM4 motherboards for all the info you need on that topic. Not only does each chipset offer varied interface support for technologies like USB 3.0 ports and NVMe drives, but some chipsets support CPU overclocking and multiple graphics cards while others don’t. All Ryzen chips slot into AMD’s new AM4 motherboards, but those motherboards are all built using different chipsets that directly affect your computer’s capabilities.
